Natural Pomegranate Sunscreen - Wadda Melon

Enjoy the summer, enjoy the sunshine, but not the harmful rays. This 100% natural Sunscreen Face & Body Lotion is a must for the beach or a jog. Non-nano Zinc Oxide provides broad-spectrum protection against damaging UVA and UVB rays penetrating the skin, while Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Vitamin E moisturizes your skin, making it feel amazingly soft.

In the summer of 2017 we had many requests for non-toxic sunscreens.  So we made a few and handed them out for testing.  The results have been really good, they actually work.  One of my testers is a red head and has very fair skin.  She tested for me and it worked for her.   After much research and testing we feel that it is safe to use.  This is the only sunscreen that my family uses.

We have gathered some information for you to read so that you can make an informed & educated choice.  If you feel that it is safe for your family to use this natural sunscreen – we would be happy to sell them to you.

• Cover up when you can - protect your skin
• Not waterproof, please re-apply after going into the water
• Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure.
• If you plan on using sunscreen on babies under 6 months of age, Health Canada recommends consulting a doctor first. The same quantity guidelines apply for children and adults.

Ingredients: *Organic 

*Coconut oil,  *Shea Butter, *Pomegranate Oil, Zinc Oxide & Vitamin E.

Due to the high content of coconut oil - please keep refrigerated as this will melt in hot weather. 

Pomegranate oil has been shown to have (SPF 20+), Coconut oil has been shown to provide an SPF of about 8, and the more zinc oxide used, the more SPF protection. This recipe has not been studied in a lab and we can’t give a specific SPF rating.  We've used 20% zinc. We can make a really good estimate that this sunscreen is at least SPF 20 and possibly higher.
